Julia Butler, LCPC brings a rich blend of clinical experience, education, and cultural perspective to her work as a therapist. Born in Harrow, England and raised in the United States, Julia has a lifelong love of learning and languages. She earned a B.A. in Spanish and a B.A. in French from Fort Hays State University, then spent several years teaching Spanish and French at the high school level. She later earned an M.S. in Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in Tennessee.
Julia has worked as a therapist for five years at Iroquois Center, where she earned her Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) credential. She also brings extensive experience from the education field, having taught Spanish and English for twelve years at Kinsley Junior-Senior High School, as well as two years as a librarian at the Kinsley Public Library. Her therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing. Outside of work, Julia enjoys traveling, camping, reading, studying languages, and a variety of fiber and needle arts, including knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, needlepoint, and embroidery.
